Sophie Thompson is a writer and social researcher, originally hailing from Northern Ireland. She currently lives in Essex, UK with her partner, two kids and three chickens. She mainly writes flash fiction and short stories, but loves reading anything and everything.

She was a finalist in the WOW! Women on Writing Fall Flash Fiction Competition 2023, runner up in the Farnham Flash Fiction Competition (February 2024) and has had spooky stories featured on the Three Ravens Podcast. Her work has also appeared in several publications such as Ink, Sweat and Tears, Roi Fainéant and Necksnap Magazine.
